These terms explain how my services and this website work. By booking an appointment or using this website, you agree to them. Please read them together with my Privacy Policy.

About these terms

I am Tiago Marques, trading as New Beginnings Acupuncture. I am the only practitioner, and “I”, “me” and “my” in these terms mean me. “You” means anyone who uses this website or books an appointment with me.

Appointments and treatment

I treat patients at Wednesfield Therapy Centre in Wolverhampton and Hive Health & Well-Being in Bideford. You can book online, by phone or by email. Please follow any rules at the premises where you are treated.

At your first appointment I will ask about your medical history, and I will explain the treatment, including any risks, before I start. I will only treat you with your agreement, and you can ask me to stop at any time.

To keep treatment safe, please tell me about any medical conditions, medication, allergies or pregnancy, and let me know if anything changes between appointments. Please also tell me promptly if you feel unwell during or after treatment.

Where a child is treated, a parent or guardian must book the appointment, give consent to treatment and attend the appointment.

Free online consultation

I offer a free online consultation, which is a short conversation to talk about your symptoms and whether acupuncture may suit you. It is not a diagnosis, treatment or medical advice.

Prices and payment

My current prices are on the Prices page and may differ between locations. The price for your appointment is the one shown when you book. I take payment in person at your appointment, by cash or card. I do not take payments through this website.

Cancelling or rescheduling

Please give at least 48 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or change your appointment, so that I can offer the time to someone else. You can do this by phone, text or email. If you cancel with less notice or do not attend, I may charge up to the full session fee, at my discretion. I will always tell you about any fee before I charge it.

Medical information and results

Acupuncture is a complementary therapy. It does not replace care from your GP or another doctor, and I do not give medical diagnoses. Please do not stop or change any prescribed medication without speaking to your doctor.

Results vary from person to person, and I cannot guarantee that treatment will relieve or cure any condition.

The information on this website is general and is not medical advice. If you have a medical emergency, call 999. For urgent advice, contact NHS 111 or your GP.

Using this website

You may use this website to find information about my services and to contact me. Please do not use it in any way that is unlawful or misleading, to send offensive or defamatory material, or to upload viruses or other harmful code. I may restrict access to the site if it is misused.

Intellectual property

I own the content of this website, including the text, images, design and layout, unless it says otherwise. You may view it and share links to it, but you may not copy, change or distribute it without my written permission.

Links to other websites

This website may link to other websites, such as professional bodies and social media. I do not control them and am not responsible for their content.

My responsibility to you

I provide my services with reasonable care and skill, and I hold professional insurance. I try to keep the information on this website accurate and up to date, but I cannot guarantee it is complete, and I am not responsible for any loss caused by relying on it or by the website being unavailable, as far as the law allows.

Nothing in these terms limits or excludes my liability for death or personal injury caused by my negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law. Your legal rights as a consumer are not affected.

Complaints

If you are unhappy with any part of my service, please tell me so I can put it right. You can contact me using the details at the bottom of this page, and I will reply as soon as I can.

Privacy

I use your personal information as described in my Privacy Policy.

Changes to these terms

I may update these terms from time to time. The latest version will always be on this page, with the date it was last updated shown at the top. The terms that applied when you booked your appointment apply to that appointment.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and disputes will be dealt with by the courts of England and Wales.
